So as part of my move to Serendipity I decided to try using some desktop clients to make managing this thing easier. I tried a few clients and it came down to either Mars Edit or Ecto. Since I use OS X my choices were a little limited. Luckily, both these clients are some of the best around and both have OS X versions. Both clients were feature filled and easy to use. In the end I chose Ecto, mainly because it is recommended by Joichi Ito. I met Joi at the ICANN meeting in Wellington, New Zealand and read his blog regularly.
